This Cookie Policy explains how MatchDay Rush uses cookies and similar technologies on matchdayrush.com, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to a site's owners. "Similar technologies" include browser local storage, which we use to remember a few settings on your device.
How we use cookies
We use a deliberately small set of cookies and local storage:
- Strictly necessary / preferences. We store your cookie choice so we don't ask you again, and we store your Prediction League identity and quiz results in your browser. These stay on your device and are essential to those features working.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. These cookies are only set after you accept them via our cookie banner.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics cookies we use
When you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set cookies such as:
_ga— used to distinguish users (typically expires after up to two years)._ga_<id>— used to persist session state (typically expires after up to two years).
These help us measure traffic and usage in aggregate. The information is processed by Google; please see Google's own policies for more detail.
Consent and Google Consent Mode
By default, analytics storage is denied until you choose "Accept" in our cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode so that, until you consent, no analytics cookies are stored. If you choose "Decline", analytics remains off.
Managing your choices

- Our banner. Clear this site's cookies and data in your browser to be asked again, then choose "Decline".
- Your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
